How to purchase images from FotoEire

All images on this website are copyrighted.
Any copying, usage and/or distribution is strictly prohibited.

Searching

We have endeavored to create an easy to search database for our growing collection of images. As you can see there are numerous categories to browse. You can also enter keywords in the search box to narrow your choices. We have embedded keywords into all the image collections to respond to more selected searches. The scope of your search results will be determined by your selection of keywords.

Quick Search - By default the system uses "Match at least one keyword" for the quick search function. If you input "beautiful sunset" (without the quotes) into the quick search field, then the search function will return results for any media that contain either "beautiful" OR "sunset" in its properties.

The system supports the "AND" and NOT" operands in the quick search function by the use of the plus sign (+) and minus sign (-) respectively in front of the keywords.

• If you input "beautiful +sunset" (without the quotes) into the search field, the system will only return results for any media that contain both keywords "beautiful" AND "sunset" in its properties.

• If you input "beautiful "sunset" (without the quotes) into the search field, the system will return results for any media that contain the keyword "beautiful", but this media can't contain the keyword "sunset" in its properties.

• Note: There must not any spaces between the second keyword and the input operands (+), (-) keywords.

Advanced Search  - The advanced search function doesn"t use the same algorithms as above. It offers options allowing you to choose which operand you want to use for your searches.

There are three options available.

• Match at least one keyword
  The system will return results for any media that contain either one of the input keywords in its properties.

• Match all keywords
  The system will only return results for any media that contain all input keywords in its properties.

• Match exact phrase
  The system will only return results for any media that contains the exact input keyword phrase in its properties.
   

Payment Method

The payment method is PPP (pay per purchase).  Using this payment method you will need to pay during the checkout process.
 

The Lightbox

The Lightbox is your collection of images. You may add up to 30 images to your lightbox. If you wish to purchase an image that is in your lightbox, click on the thumbnail to view the enlarged image. Select the items that you want to purchase and click on the "add to cart" button.
 

Shopping Cart

The shopping cart displays your order details, if you wish to delete an image from your order before proceeding to checkout, simply hit the remove link on the right side.
 

Checking Out

You will need to login to checkout your order. If you are new to the site please complete the registration form to create a username and password. This information is stored, so that you can return to the site to make future purchases and so that we can review your orders.

We utilize PayPal for purchases made on this site.

Licensing

Royalty-Free Licensing

Royalty-Free images are licensed to customers on a one-off basis. Once bought, they can be used many times, for multiple projects. The price for Royalty-Free images is based exclusively on the image size. The licence is non-exclusive and the right to use the image is not transferable. Please note that Royalty-Free images cannot be used for goods for sale such as calendars and postcards.

Rights-Managed Licensing

Rights-managed images are licensed on a use-by-use basis. They are licensed for a specific period of time (e.g. 6 months, 1 year, up to 10 years) and territory (e.g. Ireland only, Europe, Worldwide etc.). The price depends on a specific use and is calculated using the online calculator, based on the number of parameters entered by you. If available, you can buy exclusive rights which means that the image is unavailable to other buyers until the licence expires.

Privacy Policy

In order to provide a required level of service to you, we will require some of your personal information. This information includes your name, company name, email address, details of your postal address and telephone number. This information is neccessary for processing your orders.

Some information is collected automatically: the site that referred you to us, your IP address, your browser. This information is used to create user profiles and to help us customise the site to meet your needs in the best possible way.

The information we collect from you is stored indefinitely and is used for processing transactions, customer service and direct marketing and marketing analysis. It will only be shared with other parties, such as banks or our partners, if neccessary to complete a transaction, investigating a transaction with you or answering a question you raise with us.

You can edit the information given to us at any time, via "My account" section on the website.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we send you a cookie, a small text file. We need the cookie to create your individual session on the web site. It is stored in your web browser and enables us to automatically link you to your personalised accounts. Cookies are neccessary for the site to be fully operative.
